Mouse in the House

We have a mouse in the house. I hate mice! I mean really, really hate them.  The little bugger ran across my toe.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was filled with food, lots of it, friends, and family. A pretty good Thanksgiving if you ask me. Jeremy's parents were kind enough to come visit us over the Thanksgiving break. We love having visitors! It is fun to be able to show people where we live and what we do on a daily basis. We had fun showing them around our h-town.

We went to the play A Christmas Carol downtown.

We also took them to Brazo's Bend to see the alligators. Last time we went to Brazo's we saw 41 alligators. This time we saw 3 :(. Major bummer, but at least we saw 3.

I made my very first Thanksgiving dinner, with the help of my friend Brittany and my Mother-in-law. It turned out awesome. We had a full on feast, and enough to feed an army.  I think we forgot only 6 people would be eating.

Trunk or Treat

This weekend we had our ward trunk or treat. Jeremy and I were asked to be judges of the costumes and trunks. We dressed up as NERDS. We found our awesome costumes at the local good will. Please look at my mom jeans. :) Jeremy had a sign on his back that said "Kick Me". All the little kids either came up and asked him if he they could kick him or he just got kicked haha. He even got kicked in the butt by a couple of the adults. It was so funny.

Camping

We have the best group of friends. We went camping with them all last weekend. We packed up our things and went to Galveston National Park. My friend Brittany is a serious camper and had been researching for weeks on good camping areas in Texas. This was one of the best places we have camped so far in Texas. It is still nothing compared to Idaho camping, but it is still fun. We were right next to the beach. It was awesome.
We stayed up until all our of the night talking and laughing. I feel so lucky to have the friends we do. They have made it so much easier being away from home and family. I don't think I could do it without them.

We were wishing we would have taken more pictures...The beach front.

Tyce's Farewell

Sundays seem to be my make up blog days. So here is a crash course of what we have been up to lately.

My little brother left on his mission. Jeremy and I took a quick weekend trip to Idaho to say goodbye.  All seven of my brothers and sisters were able to come to his farewell. Getting all seven of us together has become quite an ordeal. We were all very excited that we could come together to support Tyce. Tyce is a natural speaker, and did very well of his farewell talk. I couldn't be prouder of my not so little brother. He is an awesome kid. The people of the Marshall Islands are so lucky to get such a hard working kid. I can't believe he is already old enough to be going on a mission. It seems like yesterday that we would stay up watching movies, and talking until all hours of the night.

Tyce and Keaton. These two are the best of friends. They will both miss each other over the next two years.

Tyce and Chadlin. She is such a cute girl. It was fun to finally meet her.

I also got to meet this little cutie! Baby Emme was only about three weeks  old. My sister was trooper for driving all the way from Denver with her two little ones. I didn't want to put her down all weekend.

So funny story, on our trip to Idaho we had a lay over in Denver. We both had hurried from work to catch our flight on Friday so we were starving! We decided to each get a personal pan pizza from pizza hut. I was half way through my pizza when i looked down and saw a big juicey FLY laying on my pizza. It was disgusting. I was all of the sudden no longer hungry. We later saw the following sign and thought it was rather fitting that the "EAT FLIES" sign was next to the pizza hut sign.

Time Out For Women

Time Out For Women came to the Woodlands this year. Some the ladies from my ward and I made a weekend of the event. We started out on Friday night going to the cheesecake factory, and the Friday night conference. After the conference we stayed the night at a hotel in the Woodlands. We accidentally may have gotten the hotel security pounding on our door at 1:30 in the morning  We were talking and laughing a bit too loud. Whoops. The Saturday conference was amazing. The speakers made me want to try harder, and be better.

I love these ladies. They have made living away from home a little more easy. I feel so lucky to have friends like them.

Life Is Good

Do ever have those days that just go good. Today was one of those days.

Woke up to a cool morning. If you know anything about Houston cool mornings don't come around too often.

We went to church in our new church building.

Ate Sunday dinner with some of our good friends.

Skyped with my parents.

Hung out with my hubs.

I have the cutest class this year, that I am looking forward to seeing tomorrow at school.

We didn't do anything too special, but life is good...
