As many of you know my Dad has been battling PSC for the past fiteen years. PSC is a diseases that eventually causes the liver to fail completly. For the past year my Dad's disease has been progressing to its final stages.
On Friday around three in the afternoon we received news that a young man had been in a construction accident. The next twenty-four hours happened so fast and so many things happened. We received news that this youngman's liver could have the possibilty to be a match for my Dad. Through miracles and prayers my Dad was able to receive the liver. The surgery started at 7:30 saturday night and lasted for the next long twelve hours.
So many emotions go through your mind at times like these. We mourn for the family who lost their loved one. It truly was a gift that saved my Dad's life. There is no way we could ever repay this family for the sacrifice they went through. We also have truly felt the hand of the Lord watching over us. We know this miracle was a miracle that the Lord gave us. I know that God lives and that he watches over us. I know the Lord blessing his covenant people.
My Dad is feeling great and we are hoping for a speedy recovery.
