Changes

4 days until the last day of student teaching, 12 days until graduation, 17 days until we move out of our little Rexburg apartment.... I am a counter. I count days, classes, assignments. It drives the husband nuts, but I can't help it. It relieves my stress to count, but I think it stresses him out more to have me remind him that changes are coming up so soon.

I have not quite figured out what I'm feeling about these changes. Lots of nerves, lots of excitement. Jeremy and I have been blessed so much throughout this time of life. We have been trying to decide what opportunities we want to take and what opportunities we want to close. It has been a rather stressful process. Jeremy read me this quote the other night by President Hinckley.

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he has been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just like people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, and most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is just like an old time rail journey … delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."

I thank the Lord every night for allowing me to have the ride.... with Jeremy by my side. We are excited and anxious to take on the changes that are coming our way.

  3. Love you Pezz, change is good, and you are going to love it, but it's ok that it doesn't make it easy!
