I am no longer unemployed. It is official I signed my contract today. I am going to be teaching 2nd grade. I am so excited, and nervous, and sure don't feel old enough to have my own class.
As much fun as it has been lounging by the pool all day, blogging, and cleaning my house spotless. I have started to feel shall we say.... a bit useless to society. I am excited to get to know my little 2nd graders. My school is inner city. I'm a bit nervous, but I think it will be an awesome learning experience. My first day is August 15th! Wish me luck!

I am so excited for you!! And Chad kept saying, "Chantelle is so brave!!" when he heard the news. You'll be such a blessing in those kids' lives. Good luck and we know you'll do great!!
