The Museum of Natural History

Our Museum of Natural History is awesome! It is the third most attended museum in the U.S. It surprisingly isn't that big, but they are expanding. I think we are going to become members so we can go whenever they have new exhibits. The museum is built with children in mind. Naturally it was a perfect fit for Jeremy who is really a secret science geek at heart. Everything is very hands on, on children's eye level, and interactive. They said that if I bring my class they'd give me a steal of a deal!

Jeremy's little brain is full of the most random facts. I always find myself turning to him and saying "where did that come from?!" The musuem director asked if anyone knew how to tell a grizzly from a black bear. He said that only maybe a dozen people had been able to answer this question in all his years at the museum. People started guessing that it was its coat or its face. Finally Jeremy just said, "its hump." The museum guide was shocked and gave him props. What a nerd! Later he and Jeremy talked about the new dino exhibit and how it was going to have a giant ancient shark attacking a woolly mammoth. Pretty cool!
